The candidate’s days are as follows:
- Monday, April 14th: Jennifer Turner is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning in Melrose, MA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Secondary Education from Stonehill College, a Master’s of Science in Special Needs from Simmons University, and a Doctor of Educational Leadership from Northeastern University.
- Tuesday, April 15th: Peter Cushing is currently an Assistant Superintendent in Medford, MA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Anslem College, a Master’s of Education from Boston College, and a Doctor of Education from Boston College.
- Wednesday, April 16th: Sean Gallagher is currently the Superintendent of Schools in Newburyport, MA. He holds an Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement from Dean College, a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from Salem State University, a Master’s of Education/Organizational Management from Endicott College, and has completed pre-doctoral coursework at the National Institute of School Leadership.
At the completion of the in-district day, each candidate will sit down with the School Committee for interviews in the BMS Library at 7:30 p.m. These interviews will be conducted in an open session with seating for the public to view, and will be streamed on BevCam’s YouTube channel (as well as broadcast on BevCam Channel 6 and HD 1073). Recordings will also be available after the fact.

Please be aware that all feedback must be submitted by 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 17 to be considered by members of the School Committee before they deliberate at 6:30 p.m. the same night for selection of the next Superintendent of Beverly Public Schools.
