Information from Grade 5 Assistant Principal Ms. Norton:
When we return to school on February 27th, MCAS season will be upon us.
5th grade MCAS testing dates are as follows:
- March 30 & 31 - English Language Arts
- May 2 & 3 - Math
- May 16 & 17 - Science and Technology
Also here before we know it will be field trip season! Teams are working to finalize field trip ideas and details, and there will be some opportunities for parents to chaperone trips in the spring, so keep an eye out if you're interested.
Our walking field trip to view Seussical the Musical, Jr. is coming up on March 1st. We received a message from Shore Country Day updating their mask policy for our visit:
"We are NOT requiring the kids (audience) to be masked for our preview show. We do ask that if anyone has symptoms, they should be masked or not attend the performance."
We are not seeking parent chaperones for March 1st, but there are still volunteer slots open for our "Keeping Water Clean" experience March 7-10. You can sign up to spend a few hours supporting our 5th graders' science program here:
