Persuasive Slideshow Party

Registration required Is there something that you are passionate about? Do you want to convince us all to read a specific book, watch a certain movie or show, try your favorite food or something else all together? Come join us at a Persuasive Slideshow Party! Everyone will be given 3 minutes to present a slide show all about their favorite thing. Registration is required and all slide shows must be sent to Katie N. at [email protected] by April 22. Teens only!

29th Annual Teen Poetry Contest Ceremony
Wednesday, April 30 at 7 PM
Sohier Room, Main Library
At this ceremony and reception, selected teen finalists will read their poems aloud, winners will be announced, and prizes will be awarded. Finalists and their families, participants in the contest, teachers, and all others, are welcome to attend. Join us for a night of excitement and amazing local poetry! A reception with refreshments in the Barnet Gallery will immediately follow the ceremony. Sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Public Library.

Chess Nights at the Library (ages 12 and up)

BevRec and the Beverly Public Library are teaming up to offer Chess Nights. This is not an instructional class, but rather a meetup for people who are looking to play. No matter your skill level, join us and challenge yourself to learn, grow and master chess. Boards will be provided though we invite you to bring a board if you are able.
