Summer Art Challenge
Throughout the summer, we want you to get creative! Create a piece of art using whatever medium of your choosing; photography, watercolor, paint, pencils, collage, the choices are endless. Every submission will be entered into a drawing for an Art Supply Wholesale Gift Card. Write your name, grade and phone number on the back of your art and drop it off at the Teen Librarian’s office. Art must be 8.5 inches by 11 inches or smaller and will not be returned. Sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Public Library.
Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is an annual summer tradition of the Beverly Public Library’s TAB (Teen Advisory Board). Every year, your favorite young adult books square off in a bracket with weekly voting. Vote on the Teen Instagram stories @bevteen and click the follow button while you’re there! Vote Fridays from June 16 to August 4. Good luck and may the best book win!
2025-2026 Student Reading Challenge
Kids and Teens! Starting in June, join the 2025-2026 Student Reading Challenge brought to you by the Massachusetts Center for the Book! Pick up a passport at the library, complete the monthly reading challenge, and collect stickers. Submit a short online form for prizes! Find all the details on our website. Craft Supply Swap

Stop by the library and swap out your extra craft supplies for something new. Declutter your craft stash, bring your unused craft supplies to the library, and pick up some new crafting supplies you will actually use. Drop off your new or gently used goodies in the drop off box by the Reference Desk on the second floor between July 25 to August 1. We will sort and arrange all the stuff into a secondhand craft supply extravaganza on August 2. We recommend you bring a reusable tote to take your new-to-you items home!
