On Saturday, April 26th, Beverly will host a Medication Disposal Day as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day 2025 – this event is sponsored by our own Beverly Police and Health Departments. Misused prescription drugs are often obtained from family and friends, many times right from the medicine cabinet.
Stop by the Beverly Police Station at 175 Elliott Street between 10 AM – 2 PM on Saturday with any prescription or over the counter medications, vitamins, veterinary medication or narcotics. Please note:they will not be accepting sharps, which can be dropped off 24 hours a day in sharps boxes in the lobby at the Police Station or at the Beverly Hospital emergency room.
Also on Saturday is the Beverly Health Department's annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day, from 8 AM to Noon at Beverly High School. This event is $25 per car and open to Beverly and Salem residents.
See a list of what you can dispose of at the Health Department’s webpage.
