On Thursday your BMS runners took on the whole of the NEC at Stage Fort, Gloucester.
It was a very successful event. The girls' team was crowned NEC Champions, with 4 runners in the top 10 and 6 in the top 15. Top 10 medals for Nadia Whiting in second, Anya Whiting in 3rd, Violet Kontos in 6th and Grace Garafolo in 8th.
In the boys race, 8th grader Jack Casey blew the competition away, with a time of 10:19, winning by almost a full minute. He improved each year and met his goal of being crowned NEC Champ. The boys team also had a strong showing with 4th place overall.
